Grateful for where I’ve been, happy for where I’m at and excited for where I’m going 💫💖🌸🌞

2022 was filled with countless challenges, lessons and endlessly beautiful and inspiring moments — all small, big and completely meaningful nonetheless.

So many changes this year in nearly every aspect of life this year. I’m so excited for what’s to come and the meaningful projects & pursuits I have in store🐯💫.

Here are some of my biggest lessons:

💕 You are right where you need to be, always. Growth only comes from acceptance of where we’re at and from there pivoting forward through small actions is easy.
💕 Stay grateful for all the things that surround you, both small & big is an immediate cause for happiness
💕 Staying accountable to our own responsibilities, small & large is deeply attributed to our own destiny.
💕 Never stop believing or giving up in your own dreams & True North Star, no matter how low you feel — you will make it happen through perseverance and patience through small daily actionable steps
💕 Your dreams matter more than you can ever imagine
💕 Savour the sweetness and joy in the everyday, this makes life feel completely like an adventure.
💕 Your calling in life exists for a reason and taking small steps each day will bring you there
💕 Opportunities aren’t handed, they are made — including our creative pursuits

This year has given me a deeper perspective of what’s possible in life, and also a more profound sense of gratitude for what’s to come. So beyond grateful for the sweetness, joy and the lessons, as well as the people and lessons it’s brought me to, exactly where I am right now. This past fall has been especially amazing.

If you’re looking for a sign to create a self-portrait series, here it is ladies ☺️✨.

I photographed these in studio at @westmountphotography, my parents place. I photographed throughout four hours after my talented friend Shannon dolled me up, thank you!! ✨ I photographed at the studio far too late into the night, so I decided to sleep in my make up and woke up at 7am before work to capture the last shot in a hydrangea floral bush I’d had my eyes on for weeks 🤭.

Seriously, if you’re looking for a sign to book your session or to take an extra self portrait — take it. No one ever regrets in their old age having beautiful photos. You’ll only look back on them with much kinder eyes one day🌸.

The last two weeks got so much brighter after find

The last two weeks got so much brighter after finding out that my favourite guy from childhood and teenage years, is still alive and well in North Bay 😁🌸.

Sweet, sassy and a soul made of gold, he was my favourite pony and I always secretly hoped, in some dream perfect world he’d be mine. He was tough on me, and he taught me to ride by my amazing instructor Cyndi Jackson. Together we won countless shows in the northern Ontario all-around circuit in both disciplines and we made some of the most beautiful memories of my life.

He’s probably around twenty seven years old now, ☺️— and I was gifted him by my parents at twelve years old on one of the most inspiring days of my life. I’ll never forget the green bow on his head.

This moment kickstarted the most meaningful seven years, until I sadly let him go to new loving owners knowing it was time for a new season of life. If you remember him, you’ll remember our unbreakable bond. We took care of each other through countless show competitions, tough moments, hard times and the sweetness we shared is something I’ll be grateful for. He’s a special special soul.

Our story hasn’t ended. I went to North Bay to go see him two weeks ago but I couldn’t find the farm.

Disappointed and tired of not knowing if he was still alive, I finally received a text from his current owners, with this photo of him peacefully hanging out and eating (his favourite activity — I’ll never forget the times he’d go to countless measures to eat absolutely anything 😒😂).

He’s always been a tough and willing fella! 🐴

If you remember Flash, let me know in the comments what you loved the most about him🥰. I miss this beautiful soul so much, but he is well taken care of by the loving and wholehearted folks at Sunnydale Farm’s until his finals days, I’m sure!

I tagged along to a photoshoot with my Dad to hang out and capture the very special @jay9diamanti and her fiancé on top of the world in Northern Ontario, where he proposed to her earlier this summer 🥰. Joining forces has never been more special with @westmountphotography , it’ll be nearly twenty years that I’ve been learning from only the best teacher and supporter I know ❤️🌿. Life is with people 💛💫. One of the most unique and dynamic theatre shows that I’ve ever seen. The energy, love and passion brought into this show was awe-inspiring.

Into the Woods is wild, weird and overall so wonderfully cast. Based on the intertwined plots of the Brother Grimm fairy tales this one explores themes of justice, love, meaning and purpose in such a unique concept. 10/10 recommend💛. Words can’t describe the emotion felt by all when watching.

I have been closing the doors of one life phase and opening them to an entirely new beginning. The transition has been inspiring, terrifying, fun and spontaneous all at once, not to mention meaningful!

I asked myself the other day, why am I doing this? One answer rung true and clear. Life is far too short to not take the risk towards your dreams. If you are making a big leap or change on your journey, just know that the messy middle is never easy but it is far more meaningful in my opinion to pursue a life full of risk and purpose than not at all.

Chances are, if you’re in the middle of a life transition like me, you can probably agree that it’s as messy as it is magical. These journeys are never easy, but they are exhilarating and again meaningful.

Here’s the advice I would give to myself or anyone going through a big transition:

✨ Embrace the middle phase as much as possible because one day you will look back and realize just how vivid these times are. Taking the time to enjoy small moments and stay present makes it so much more meaningful
✨ Reflect and relax along the way! Even if it’s just a short journalling session to record your thoughts and feelings, you’ll be so happy you documented the journey
✨ Following your dreams is painful because change is painful. Go easy on yourself and remember that the closing of one chapter is often hard but means the next one is even more beautiful as things readjust.
✨Have fun and enjoy all the spontaneity that comes with following your True North Star!
✨Remember that the chaos is just a sign that beautiful things are aligning for the better and trust yourself because to live a life of your dreams is the most adventurous path you could ever take — in my opinion!

Remember, most people don’t even take the time to reflect on what their truest desires are so go easy on yourself and enjoy the journey along the way!

For myself life has been flying by like crazy and it feels like every moment in life has been meaningful. (PT 1/2)

If you are looking for a sign to try something new, here it is 🥰. I had the best time at @amtgard. Such amazing people, personalities and the overall feel was magical beyond measure. Thank you to everyone who made me so welcome and I’m so happy with the shots that I managed to capture throughout the whole day. It was entirely ✨not at all✨ what I expected and although I knew it’d be fun, it was even cooler that I ever could’ve imagined. Would you try it?

Such a fabulous evening photographing Ride the Cyclone as part of one of @yestheatresudbury’s newest productions🎢💗✨. From the brilliant casting, to the lighting and unique concept I walked away totally inspired by this one in particular.
